Roof repair and replacement

From a few missing shingles to a full tear-off down to the deck. Free inspection with photos, and a written bid.

Signs your roof needs attention

  • Missing, cracked or curling shingles
  • Shingle granules collecting in gutters or at the bottom of downspouts
  • Bare or dark patches where the granules have worn off
  • Water stains on ceilings or in the attic
  • Dents on gutters, roof vents or the air conditioner after a hailstorm

How it works

  1. Free inspectionThe crew checks the roof and the attic and takes photos of what they find.
  2. Repair or replaceThe written bid says whether a repair will do or the roof needs replacing, and why.
  3. Tear-off and new roofFor a replacement, the old roof comes off down to the deck, damaged decking is replaced, and new underlayment and shingles go on.
  4. Cleanup and warrantyThe yard and driveway are cleaned up, and the work is covered by Allied Foundation's written warranty.

Insurance claimsIf you file a claim, it's between you and your insurance company. Texas law requires you to pay your deductible, and it's illegal for a contractor to offer to waive, rebate or absorb it. A contractor doing the work also can't act as your adjuster. More in our post on checking your roof after a hailstorm.

Questions people ask

Is the inspection really free?

Yes. There's no charge for the inspection or for the written bid, and no obligation to go ahead with the work.

How much does a new roof cost?

Roofs are priced per square (100 square feet). For architectural shingles in DFW, a full replacement usually runs about $450 to $750 per square, or roughly $9,000 to $15,000 on a typical 2,000 square foot roof. Pitch, height, decking and shingle choice all move the price. See our cost guide for more.

Repair or replace?

It depends on the age of the roof and how widespread the damage is. A newer roof with a few missing shingles can usually be repaired. An older roof that's worn out across most of its surface usually can't. The bid explains which and why.

Will you deal with my insurance company for me?

No. Texas doesn't allow a contractor to act as your adjuster on a claim for work they're doing. You handle the claim, and you'll get the inspection photos and written bid to share with your insurance company if you want them.

Who does the work?
